Carl Olson joined China Array in 2004. As vice president of sales and marketing, he is responsible for working with prospects, developing customers, and managing material selection for high-performance plastics applications.
Olson spent 23 years in various capacities at GE Plastics in the development of high-performance thermoplastics. During his last 15 years with the company, he was an applications development engineer responsible for commercializing high-performance thermoplastic applications for the aerospace, medical device, E/E, foodservice, automotive, bottling, and other key markets.
Subsequent to his work at GE Plastics, Olson was vice president of Sales and Marketing at two separate high-performance thermoplastic molding companies directing their expansion into the medical and biomedical, commercial building elevator, automotive, and aerospace industries.
In addition to traditional sales and marketing, Olson developed strategic partnerships with suppliers to expand market share, and pioneered the use of comprehensive informational, interactive web sites. He is also credited with developing plastics testing programs for leading resin producers, compounders, additive suppliers, and processors.
