HONEYWELL APPOINTS RENÉ MUELLER AS COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR, CHEMICALS IN EUROPE
BRUSSELS, Belgium, Oct. 13, 2004 -- Honeywell (NYSE: HON) today announced the appointment of René Mueller as commercial director for chemicals in Europe and managing director of fluorine products in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, effective November 1.
Mueller will report to Richard Preziotti, vice president and general manager of Honeywell Chemicals. Mueller succeeds James Harris, who will return to the business’s U.S. headquarters at the end of the year, having served four years in Brussels.
In his new duties, Mueller will lead Honeywell´s fluorocarbon and fine chemicals commercial activities in Europe, Middle East and Africa. Mueller has extensive experience in European chemicals industries having spent more than 13 years in senior marketing and sales positions for Dow Chemical. Most recently he was based in Madrid as director of sourcing and supplier relations for Ashland Inc. Mueller will be based in Brussels.
Mueller earned a bachelor’s degree in economics, marketing and controlling from the University of Applied Sciences in Zurich, and he speaks German, English, French and Spanish fluently.
