Rolf Gren appointed CEO at Rapid Granulator

Friedrichshafen - Rapid Granulator AB, one of the world’s leading suppliers of granulators for the plastics and recycling industries, has appointed Rolf Gren as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) as of September 1st, 2006.

Originally from Stockholm, Sweden, Mr. Gren (53) has an extensive background in sales, marketing and management at a number of international companies - including the VSM Group (Husqvarna, Viking and Pfaff sewing machines) and Electrolux - that took him to countries across the globe. His experience includes managing relationships with dealer and distributor networks, entry into new markets and industry segments, as well as setting up production and sales operations in China.

Commenting on his appointment at Rapid Granulators, Rolf Gren said: “Being relatively new to the granulator business, I’m looking forward to a steep and interesting learning curve. With most of my previous experience being in consumer products, it will also be refreshing to look at the B2B domain and see how elements from consumer marketing such as after sales can play a more prominent role in the B2B environment of the plastics and recycling industry.”

Mr. Gren will be based at Rapid’s headquarters in Bredaryd, Sweden, as well as maintaining an office at Rapid’s German subsidiary in Kleinostheim, near Frankfurt.
