A adição de uma nova extrusora Contracool® de 3½" para filme tubular e cabeçotes de 10” da Battenfeld Gloucester Engineering em Gloucester, Massachusetts, resultou não somente em um expressivo aumento de 40% na produção de seus atuais materiais LD, mas também em um melhoramento na qualidade do filme e habilidade para operar 100% LLDPE

U.S. Ambassador to Dedicate Eastman’s Regional Headquarters
KINGSPORT, Tenn., Nov. 17, 2003 – U.S. Ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands Clifford M. Sobel, will dedicate Eastman Chemical Company’s (NYSE: EMN) new regional headquarters in Capelle aan den IJssel, in ceremonies to be held this Thursday, Nov. 20, at the new facility near Rotterdam, The Netherlands. The facility manages and supports Eastman’s operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

DSM Engineering Plastics extends its Akulon® polyamide 6 (PA6) offerings with Akulon® Ultraflow™. Akulon® Ultraflow™ PA6 provides up to 80% greater flow and up to 25%-40% cycle time reduction in injection moulding when compared to standard PA6 grades, with no significant loss of mechanical properties. Thin-wall items with long flow paths and high-appearance benefit especially from Akulon® Ultraflow™, owing to better surface quality and lower moulded-in warpage and other internal stresses.
