SABIC’s exhibit of sustainable material solutions for consumer goods at K 2022 meets a growing demand for renewability, recyclability, aesthetics and functionality
SABIC, a global leader in the chemical industry, is showcasing a broad selection of sustainable and circular material solutions for functional, safe and aesthetic consumer goods (CG) and home appliances at K 2022. Application examples on display at Booth D42 in Hall 6 during the show from October 19 to 26 in Düsseldorf, Germany, are demonstrating the trends in the market across four key driving needs: waste reduction, circularity, use of renewable feedstock, and enhanced consumer appeal. Many of them have been developed in dedicated collaboration with value chain partners and align closely with SABIC’s TRUCIRCLE™ program to accelerate the journey towards real circularity without compromising product performance and cost efficiency.

Mondi, a global leader in sustainable packaging and paper, has announced the approval of a €400 million investment in a new paper machine at its flagship Štětí mill in the Czech Republic. The investment forms part of the Group’s €1 billion expansionary capital investment programme to accelerate growth in sustainable packaging and will further strengthen Mondi’s leading position in the market.

Perstorp makes product carbon footprint values available for 85% of its sales volume
Perstorp is aligning with the new industry standard for product carbon footprint (PCF), developed by the industrial initiative Together for Sustainability. Perstorp can already provide product carbon footprint values for about 85% of its products (based on sales volume), and is continuously adding more products.
