Henkel supplies high-impact cutting fluid to closure system specialist Corvaglia
Düsseldorf, Germany – In the production of its platens for injection molds, Swiss closure system specialist Corvaglia makes use of an innovative high-impact cutting fluid from Henkel that reduces the necessary bath make-up and top-up concentrations while offering considerably longer bath lifetimes. At the same time, the optimized, formaldehyde-free formulation results in a low-foam and low-odor emulsion.

Henkel Wins SURCAR Global Environmental Footprint Impact Award for Automotive Pre-treatment Process
Düsseldorf, Germany – Henkel is the first winner of the SURCAR International Award for Environmental Footprint, honoring the company’s commitment to waste prevention and water treatment with its Bonderite Thin Film 1800 Series zirconium oxide pre-treatment process for car bodies. The award went to Henkel’s Surface Technologies team in Asia Pacific and their partner, Qoros Auto Co., in recognition of a joint project implemented at the paint shop of Qoros’ manufacturing site in Changshu near Shanghai.

Henkel launches range of new TEROSON LASD products offering enhanced application and sustainability benefits
Henkel Adhesive Technologies has expanded its portfolio of liquid-applied sound deadeners (LASD) for the automobile industry. Newly added to the portfolio are TEROSON LASD grades based on renewable oils (renewable thermosets) for use in the paint shop and body shop department. Also new is a water-based acrylic system offering excellent interaction between the polymers employed and the special fillers introduced to achieve maximum vibration damping combined with controlled, minimized abrasiveness. In a joint project with the BMW Group and ABB, the waterborne technology and the associated application technique have been specifically developed for future use worldwide in the new BMW 3 series.

Each year, around 8 million individual metal parts are produced at the Husqvarna Group’s hometown location in Sweden for its premium outdoor power tools, which include chainsaws and trimmers. Henkel launches integration program for refugees
Henkel is starting an extensive refugee’s integration program in its vocational training center. In collaboration with external partners and public authorities, the company is offering career guidance and job shadowing as well as internships, language courses and coachings for the refugees.
