Brussels, June 8, 2004 – Rhodia Engineering Plastics today announced the launch of two new polyamide grades offering acoustic performance that is superior to traditional engineering plastics. These new grades offer more than 4dB improvement versus other engineering plastics such as glass reinforced PP or PA.

Brussels, June 8, 2004 – Rhodia Engineering Plastics today announced it has developed specific expertise in conductivity technology allowing the creation of new products for exterior body panels. The first product introduction is a new grade specifically designed to meet the critical technical requirements for automotive vertical body panels - Technyl® A 238P5 M25.

Rhodia Polyamide Announces Further Price Increases for Polyamide 6 and 6.6 Resins and Compounds
St. Fons, France, September 10th, 2004 – Rhodia Polyamide announces a price increase of € 200 per metric ton for Rhodia’s PA 66 base resins and Rhodia’s Technyl® polyamide 6 & 66 compounds in Europe. This increase is effective as of September 13th, 2004.

Rhodia Polyamide Announces Further Price Increases for Polyamide 6.6 in Europe
St. Fons, France, June 10, 2004 – Rhodia Polyamide announced a price increase of €100 per metric ton for PA 66 base resins in Europe. Prices of PA 66 compounds will also be increased accordingly. These increases will be effective as of June 14th, 2004.

Brussels, June 8 2004 – Rhodia’s recently introduced TECHNYL® ALLOY PA/ABS is currently being used for interior automotive applications, where its robust property profile, combined with ease of processability makes it an attractive alternative vs. traditional Polycarbonate (PC), PC/ABS and PC/PBT material alternatives. TECHNYL® ALLOY is currently used as the material for a high performance center instrument panel fascia for GM/DAEWOO new Kalos Sedan, which is now in production in South Korea.

Rhodia Engineering Plastics launches two new Technyl® polyamide grades for Water Injection Technology (WIT) to address evolving customer demands
Detroit, MI, Mar. 8, 2004 – Rhodia Engineering Plastics today introduced two new Technyl® polyamide grades specifically designed for water injected cooling pipes: TECHNYL® A338 Wit1 V30 bk34N and TECHNYL® A338 Wit2 V30 bk34N. This major product introduction follows three years of dedicated research and process development work, including the development of Rhodia’s own WIT mold, water injectors and injection unit. The challenge of the Rhodia WIT development team was to find an optimal balance between water injection processability and glycol resistance in an application context where specific material properties are required to fit to the technology, while cooling circuit specifications are increasing.

Technyl® A 238P5 M25 is a new polyamide grade specifically designed to address vertical body panel needs. This material is electro-paintable, withstands the e-coat temperature up to 200°C and meets all critical application requirements in impact, surface appearance and processability.
