Gruppe (NYSE: MOG.A) teilt mit, dass die Abteilung für Design, Forschung und Normen (RDSO) der indischen Bahn einen Prüfstand für Lebensdauertests an Güterzügen in Höhe von 4 Millionen US Dollar in Auftrag gegeben hat. Moog ist führend im Bereich anspruchsvoller Prüfstände für die Transport-, Automobil-, Luft- und Raumfahrtindustrie.

MOOG UND THOMPSOM FRICTION WELDING ENTWICKELN DIE WELTWEIT GRÖSSTE LINEARE REIBSCHWEISSMASCHINE
AMSTERDAM, 20. Januar 2010 – Moog und Thompson Friction Welding haben die weltweit größte lineare Reibschweißmaschine entwickelt. Damit kann eine Fläche von 10.000 mm² geschweißt werden, das heißt doppelt soviel wie bisher üblich. Die Maschine hat eine Reibschweißkraft von bis zu 100 Tonnen.

DSM ACQUIRES FULL OWNERSHIP OF NPC PA6 POLYMER FACILITY
Royal DSM N.V., the global Life Sciences and Materials Sciences company headquartered in the Netherlands, and Shaw Industries Group, Inc. announce today that DSM has acquired full control of the PA6 polymerization facility of Nylon Polymer Company LLC (NPC) in Augusta (Georgia, United States). Shaw Industries and DSM Chemicals North America were previously joint venture partners in NPC.

Clariant Oil Services expands business with Chevron-Duri Indonesia
Muttenz, January 15, 2010 - Clariant Oil Services, a business unit of Clariant International Ltd, has signed a “Heavy Oil Services” contract to supply Chevron-Duri in Indonesia with products and services for the Duri steam flood. Steam flooding is an enhanced oil recovery method that injects steam into the reservoir to increase oil recovery. With a production of 200,000 barrels of crude oil each day, the Duri project is the largest steam flood oilfield in the world and the main source of oil production in Indonesia.
