Muttenz, June 11, 2010 - On June 13, thousands of spectators will file into the spectacular new Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban, South Africa, to watch Germany play its first World Cup™ match against Australia. Once inside, the fans will be greeted by plastic seating that is not only colorful but also well-protected against fire and the sun’s ultraviolet (UV) radiation. The polypropylene seats in Durban and in two other World Cup football venues have been made using color, flame retardants and UV stabilizers, which are compounded together by the Clariant Masterbatches business unit.
