Polyscope founder and board member receives major SPE accolade
Uwe Wascher, one of the co-founders of Polyscope, is to be honored by the Society of Plastics Engineers' European Automotive Division with its lifetime achievement award. The award will be formally handed over by SPE representatives on Monday 21 October at 14.00 hrs on the Polyscope booth in Hall 5/stand E08 at K 2013.

Royal DSM, the global Life Sciences and Materials Sciences Company, is introducing Stanyl® ForTii™ T11, an innovative high temperature polyamide 4T delivering UL94-V0 flame retardancy combined with outstanding thermal and mechanical performance. This halogen free material has been designed to meet the stringent regulations and high performance requirements for printed circuit board (PCB) terminal blocks that are mounted using surface mount technology (SMT).

This switch, which is available with 8, 16 or 24 Fast Ethernet ports (10/100 BASE TX), has been especially developed for use in trains. It fulfills all the specific EMC and fire prevention requirements for rail vehicles and also has numerous redundancy mechanisms plus two uplink ports with bypass relays. This means that connections between neighboring switches are maintained even when an OCTOPUS fails. 
SITTARD, The Netherlands, November 12, 2012 - Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) has commissioned the construction of two sea going gas tankers powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG) to transport its olefins products, in anticipation of a European Union directive to drastically reduce sulphur emissions from vessels operating in the North Sea by 2015. Switching to alternative fuels for ships, such as LNG, which is far more environment-friendly than traditional fuel oils is one of the solutions identified to meet the European Union directive.
